American
Intercontinental University helps students start down
a path that leads to a rewarding career. Their curriculum starts
with general education courses, which give students a solid foundation,
and then moves on to industry-specific classes. Class sizes are
small in order to better facilitate personal and professional
growth, individual attention from instructors, and dynamic discussions.
AIU is a progressive university that has developed programs designed
for both traditional and non-traditional students. Day, evening,
and weekend courses are offered to provide scheduling flexibility.
Students have access to the career services department, which
helps them develop interview-ready portfolios and network with
leading corporations.
The admissions office of American Intercontinental University
strives to aid potential students in making the right decisions
that will affect their future. Many different students from many
different backgrounds have been accepted to AIU. The basic requirements
for admission are proof of high school completion (expected completion
for high school seniors) or GED; and the desire, interest, and
motivation to succeed. Students are encouraged to start the admissions
process by visiting the campus to tour the computer labs, design
studios, and classrooms. They also meet with an admissions representative
to discuss their educational and career goals. The admissions
representative also answers any questions they might have about
starting college.
Many students at AIU take advantage of financial ad to help offset
the cost of college. The Financial Aid staff can help students
through the financial aid application process, and students can
contact the university if they have an questions or concerns about
financial aid. American Intercontinental University is a member
of the Career Education Corporation network, which gives graduates
and alumni assistance in job placement. The schools have global
access to candidates and job opportunities from domestic and international
sites. Career Services departments help students find fulfilling
and financially rewarding employment.
