If you love animals and the outdoors, and you would like to
work for yourself, then the Farrier Trade could be for you!
In 4 1/2 months, the Colorado School of Trades will teach you
this money-making trade and prepare you to start your own business.
The program uses hands-on techniques to teach you all aspects
of the Farrier business; from anatomy to keg shoes to corrective
shoeing to handmade shoes, including the necessary forge work
and everything in-between. It is an A-Z program!
Our Farrier program is designed for the serious student. Much
of the lab work is performed on live animals located either
in our fully equipped Farrier shop, or at the location of our
many customers in the Denver/ Boulder/ Golden area. If the animals
can't come to us, our mobile Farrier shop will go to them!
The bottom line is that this program teaches the craft though
hands-on techniques, not just by sitting in a classroom.
