Daymar College Offers The Following Academic Programs

Computer Repair Technology:
Students can enjoy hands-on training which familiarizes them with various types of computer hardware and software, printers, peripheral devices, and operating systems. An introduction to programming languages is also taught. Students receive an emphasis on upgrading and troubleshooting computer systems which prepares them for the CompTia A+ certification exam.

Computer Network Administration:
This exciting program provides the training necessary for students to become competent network engineers using Microsoft technology. Students will have the opportunity to take the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification exams.

Internet Management:
The Internet Management program is designed to prepare students with extensive hands-on experience in design, enhancement, implementation, and management of interactive Internet and intranet web pages using various program languages. The program enables graduates to pursue a variety of Internet-related careers, such as Web Designer, Internet Security Specialist, Database Developer, Project Manager, or Internet Programmer.

Medical Office Technology:
Students will gain experience and hands-on training which will allow them to become familiar with various types of healthcare delivery systems, computer operations, coding (ICD-9), billing, and medical terminology that is necessary in this career field. Upon completion of this program, graduates may pursue a career as a billing clerk, coding specialist, or office administrator in a hospital, clinic, or private practice.

Medical Records Technology:
Students will become more knowledgeable of the medical industry and dive into specialty areas such as pharmacology, pathophysiology, and medical transcription. The object of this program is to prepare students to work in the field of medical records, a field concerned with health related information and the management systems to collect, store, process, analyze, and communicate information related to research, planning, provision, financing, and evaluation of healthcare services.

Paralegal Studies:
In-depth training enables each graduate to gain employment in the field of Paralegal Studies. Students will learn the difference between admissible and inadmissible, and relevant and irrelevant evidence. Graduates of this program will be able to communicate their findings and opinions effectively, both orally and in writing, analyze legal documents, and perform case research.
