Management
or Accounting
The objective and purpose of the Bachelor of Science Degree
program in Accounting and Management is to provide a specialized business curriculum
and general education studies that are enhanced by an academic emphasis on analysis,
understanding and cognitive development. The program is designed to prepare students
for career opportunities in business, government and society. Emphasis is placed
on conceptual knowledge and understanding.
The Bachelor of Science Degree
consists of an academic major in Accounting or Management.
Beginning in
2001, the Nevada State Board of Accountancy will require additional course credits
in order to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination. The 180 total credit requirements
for the B.S. degree will not change; however, approximately forty (40) additional
quarter credits will be necessary to sit for the CPA examination. The MBA program
offered by Morrison University satisfies this requirement.
