Advertising
Our Bachelor of Arts in Advertising degree program is for students who see themselves working in this market-driven career. Art direction, copywriting, and account supervision comprise the curriculum so that, once you graduate, you’re prepared for entry-level positions in this exciting field.

Digital Media Production
The Internet, CDs, DVDs, and video production are all creating new avenues of artistic expression. In this bachelor’s degree program, you’ll learn to navigate the digital landscape, including the worlds of video production and multimedia technology. You’ll be able to combine traditional production techniques with the latest digital tools to shoot, edit, refine sound, and develop special effects. Once you graduate, you’ll be prepared for entry-level production positions in Internet, broadcasting, and cable industries.

Game Art & Design
Hard at play. Game artists are the skilled and imaginative individuals who bring a game designer’s concept to life. In this program, your education centers around creating the content — from characters to environments — seen on the computer screen. You’ll learn how to draw, visualize, and use color. The curriculum includes modeling (creating a character or object), scene and set design, motion capture, animation, texture mapping, and more. Your reel will help get your foot in the doors of game developers. Entry-level positions include texture artist, character animator, modeler, and level designer.

Graphic Design
Graphic design is communication and commerce, packaged as art. It is used to enhance a company’s image or, coupled with advertising copy and concepts, sell ideas, products, and services. When it comes to your design education, our approach is to transform you from student to professional by mimicking the workplace. You become a visual problem solver. Your teachers become your clients. You comp ideas on the computer. You pitch those ideas in front of the class. You also learn how to work as part of a team.

Interior Design
At The Art Institutes, you’ll gain a strong foundation in the basics, including drawing, perspective, proportion, and color. Computer-aided drawing (CAD) aids you in planning residential and commercial spaces. The study of architecture, ergonomics, fabrics, and other materials are also part of your coursework. Once you graduate, you’ll be prepared for entry-level positions such as assistant designer, facility and space planner, sales or draftsperson.

Media Arts & Animation
Without your creative vision, the computer just sits there. Computer animators work in 3-D, creating their characters with the subtleties and realistic motion of everyday life. This profession is an artful blend of creative vision and technology. In the classroom, you’ll begin with a solid design and art foundation. Computer graphics, animation, and audio and video techniques soon follow. Your goal: Build a digital portfolio that shows how well you bring your characters and storytelling abilities to life.

Multimedia & Web Design
Effectively interacting with your audience on many levels, from graphics to audio, is your challenge in this field. Multimedia system and Web page design, video, animation, and scripting are just some of the key elements in the curriculum. Your technical toolbox and creative abilities prepare you for entry-level positions such as graphic artist, digital media producer, and interface designer in fields as varied as advertising, corporate communications, and law and medicine.

Visual Effects & Motion Graphics
In our Bachelor of Science program you can learn how to use your creativity to produce attention-grabbing communication design for film, television, and the Web. This is design in motion - everything from movie trailers and opening film credits to television commercials, animated network identities, and short promos and next-ons between TV shows.
